Construction Law: A significant portion of Steve’s practice is devoted to construction law. His practice includes representing owners, general contractors and subcontractors in a variety of construction related matters including performance and payment issues, construction defects, as well as lien and bond claims. Steve serves as a mediator for construction related disputes. He routinely lectures at Baylor Law School regarding mechanic’s lien issues.

Banking/Creditors Rights: While working as a commercial banker in the 1980s and early 1990s, Steve dealt extensively with difficult credit relationships and problem loans. He understands the creditor’s objective is to be repaid as fully as possible. His approach to working with problem credits includes exploring all legal options while at the same time advising the use of sound business judgment. His clients include financial institutions, contractors, small businesses and individuals.

Commercial Litigation: In addition to matters related to construction law, banking and creditor’s rights, Steve represents a variety of business interests and individuals in resolving commercial disputes through the use of negotiations, mediation, arbitration or litigation.
