Shallow Ford Construction is a long-standing, locally owned and operated excavation business that has served central Texas with excellence since 1969. Shallow Ford Construction is committed to the highest quality of excavation, grading, paving, aggregates, storm drainage, concrete work and trucking.

Our company is gifted with an expert staff of estimators, project managers, surveyors and accounting personnel who offer more than 150 combined years of experience in the excavation field. Shallow Ford Construction has moved forward while keeping up with the latest technology in our area of expertise.

We are revered for our ability to successfully build and also design build projects for our customers, offering them cost saving ideas and keeping them below budget while completing the project on or before schedule.

Shallow Ford Construction is a long standing member of the AGC, American General Contractors Association.

Leadership

Bob Spiegel

Owner/President/CEO

Bob Spiegel brings 33 years of leadership to Shallow Ford Construction. He is a 1976 graduate of The United States Military Academy at West Point where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. Bob was employed by the company in 1981 and quickly became president and owner in 1989 growing the company from primarily a residential site-work contractor to a progressive and competitive commercial site-work contractor. Having established numerous quarries and a large fleet of aggregate haul trucks in years past, he carries an extensive knowledge of all that the construction industry demands. Bob is an experienced leader in all aspects of the company’s operations and success.

Connie Spiegel

Owner

Connie Spiegel has served on the board of directors of Shallow Ford Construction for over 20 years. She brings a vast knowledge of people, psychology, business skills and other valuable characteristics to the company. Connie’s discernment and intuition play a vital roll in the decision making process at the upper management level. She is a 1980 graduate of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree. Connie is also a 2013 graduate of IPEC, Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, specializing in both corporate and relationship coaching.
